The Role Our client is looking to recruit a HR Assistant to join their team in London to:
- Provide effective advice and support to managers on employment matters, including case work.
- Provide HR customers with excellent customer service.
- To ensure the delivery of key elements of human resource management, including pay, administration, HR system, learning and development and employee relations.
- To assist the HR Manager and Head of Service in delivering a comprehensive and professional HR and OD service.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide effective advice and support to managers on employment matters.
- To undertake case work as appropriate and with support from the HR Manager.
- To undertake effective administration of HR tasks including payroll and recruitment.
- To delegate to, train and monitor the HR administrator and HR apprentice on some shared processes, projects and tasks.
- To assist with the development and review Human Resources policies, procedures and initiatives in line with employment legislation and organisational objectives.
- To write reports.
- To liaise with the payroll provider to ensure that staff are paid accurately and on time and that queries are dealt with promptly and effectively.
- To be responsible for administering Criminal Record Bureau checks.
- To undertake such additional duties as are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post
Key Requirements:
- A levels or equivalent
- GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent skill level in English and Maths
- Basic understanding of employment legislation
- Knowledge of general HR processes, procedures and practices
- Excellent PC skills including use of the internet, Word, Excel and Outlook (Test)
- Accuracy and attention to detail (Test)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good team player
