As a SEN Teaching Assistant you should have a passion for education and an unwavering zeal for teaching. About the Role of SEN Teaching Assistant
To ensure that the day ahead runs smoothly, you will be expected to prepare the class resources and necessary materials for the pupils. Your SEN Teaching Assistant responsibilities will include giving regular feedback to the teacher on the academic and behavioural progress of individual pupils, and planning strategies to ensure everyone is on track to meeting or exceeding their targets in all areas. Extracurricular activities are very popular with the pupils here, and it is hoped that you will be able to contribute to the planning and running of them alongside the teachers. You will also benefit from the support of an experienced and long standing SENCO. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be fostering and nurturing the creative ethos and atmosphere that the Head of Department has created.
