Secondary English Teacher Required For Outstanding School!

We are seeking an English Teacher on behalf of a thriving Secondary School in Enfeild.

This school has excellent transport links to enable easy access from central London and London fringe areas. The intake is mixed and comprehensive in nature. The school opened their doors to their first two Reception classes in September 2013 and their first cohort of year 7 pupils joined them in September 2014. The academy will reach full capacity in 2020 with just under two thousand pupils. The academy was judged outstanding in all areas in their Ofsted inspection of April 2015.

The academy is expanding rapidly and is therefore seeking an outstanding English teacher. This is a hugely important post given the successful candidate will be a key member of our English department at this relatively early stage of our development. We are seeking an individual with the capacity to be both an outstanding English teacher and an enthusiastic and influential role model for our pupils. It is also a post that will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to support the Head of Department in curriculum development and play a role in developing a school that is a match for the very best in the private and state sectors.

Ideal candidates will:

  • be a passionate teacher of English and a committed team player

  • be, or have the potential to be, an outstanding English teacher

  • be excited by the opportunity to be an influential member of staff at a new and ambitious school

  • have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of our pupils

  • be committed to ARK the ethos of high expectations and no excuses

  • be committed to the school’s vision of breaking the mould by providing pupils from relatively disadvantaged backgrounds with a type and standard of education previously the preserve of the best fee-paying schools

In this role, you will:

  • have the opportunity to join a team of teachers at the peak of their profession

  • be part of the this school network, with school-based and network-wide CPD and international school visits

Envision Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Envision Education is also committed to following a policy of equal opportunities. We respect and value cultural and religious diversity and will not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, culture or disability.

You must be a UK resident or hold a full UK visa and be willing to complete a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
