The HR Business Partner will join a respected global brand on a 12-18 month maternity cover contract, providing a proactive, commercially focused approach to a medium-size client group on the full spectrum of HR practices

Description


Provide a consultancy service that delivers best practice and commercially focused HR solutions that support the business area in conjunction with specialist HR functions. More specifically, this includes the following:


The HR Business Partner will primarily be responsible for developing effective working relationships with Senior Managers to deliver effective people plans in support of the achievement of the business area and HR strategies. More specifically, this will involve the following:


  • Provide both transformational advice and transactional support (contracting in services throughout HR where required) on change management and TUPE initiatives in order to improve cost and efficiency, clarify accountabilities and empower delivery of great customer service.

  • Work in partnership with the business to provide specialist coaching, support and influence that enable key internal partners to effectively deliver their people plans.

  • Identifying strategic people issues in partnership with key internal partners and support them with advice and expertise to resolve these matters.

  • Provide personal support on the research, design and development of HR initiatives and policies in support of the HR strategy, using expert knowledge of the client area. Facilitate the creation of an implementation and communication plan into the local business area that achieves the agreed deliverables.

  • From an Employee Relations perspective, embedding a performance management culture within the business area as a means of driving business improvement by ensuring clear objectives, feedback and the improvement of customer service through behaviours aligned with our values.

  • Working in partnership with the business to manage employee relations issues, building management responsibility and capability for managing ER issues and improve the effectiveness of employee consultation.

  • Some overseas travel may be required

Profile


Michael Page HR are looking for an HR Business Partner with the following competencies:


  • Strong HR Business Partnering background, with proven experience of managing and implementing projects and strategic change initiatives, , including extensive understanding and significant experience of TUPE transfers (essential)

  •  Experience of effective challenging and influencing at senior manager/director level

  •  Experience of providing a consultative service

  •  Experience of managing significant organisational change

  •  Experience of developing HR strategy in line with business needs

  •  Experience of advising on complicated Employee Relations issues

  •  An up to date understanding of present and future employment legislation.

  •  The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal HR colleagues and external stakeholders

  •  A dedicated team player

  •  Commercially focused

  •  Ability to manage own time and workload and juggle conflicting priorities

  •  Influencing and coaching skills

  •  Professional approach with a can do attitude

  •  Appropriate people management qualification e.g. CIPD

Job Offer


12-18 Month Fixed Term Contract, Salary £50-55000 dependant on experience, immediate start
