Practice General Manager

A leading London firm of Accountants are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced General Practice Manager. With an emphasis towards audit work, this role will be both challenging and rewarding.

You will get involved in the following areas:
Managing a portfolio of clients ensuring that for each client all deadlines are met, the work is carried out within budget and the job is finalised to minimise partner review time.
Taking part in other ad-hoc exercises such as investigations, due diligence and other duties as required by clients or partners.
Planning jobs and organising assignments to ensure that jobs are carried out in the most efficient way possible and that deadlines are met.
Providing clear instruction and constructive feedback to staff in a timely manner.
Acting as training manager and mentor to allocated trainees.
Assisting with motivation of all staff and taking an active role in managing issues informally, raising more serious matters with HR where appropriate.
Producing training material and regularly presenting training to trainees on a variety of topics.
Taking an active role in practice development activities aiming to build on current client relationships and establish new opportunities.
Providing ideas and inputting to new innovations and improvements to help improve efficiency and productivity and better improve the quality of services we offer.

The ideal candidate will be Qualified to ACA or ACCA level (or equivalent), have solid experience at Manager Level and have strong experience in running their own portfolio. You must also have a high level of familiarity with UK auditing and accounting standards, as well as excellent organisational and project management skills.
You will attend training and be committed to CPD, continually developing and increasing your knowledge and skills to give the best possible service and advice to clients and staff.
