Underwriting Assistant – London – up to £38,000 + Benefits – Perm – Challenger Bank

J2 Recruitment are extremely proud to be partnering up with a New Challenger Bank to recruit for an Underwriting Assistant to join their Bridging Loan Underwriting team based in prestigious and modern offices in Central London.

The company are an extremely well-established business and have a strong reputation within the lending market place along with ambitious growth plans for the years ahead and a strong lending appetite. This client boasts an impressive list of awards from a range of bodies including The Secured Loan Awards, What Mortgage Awards and The Personal Finance Awards and they are notorious within their market for their innovative product range that constantly evolves as the market continues to change.

The successful Underwriting Assistant will be required to provide admin support to the underwriting team by preparing application cases and carrying out basic underwriting checks on new applications before passing them on for review by a mandated underwriter. You will need strong admin skills and attention to detail in order to ensure 100% accuracy at all times. Strong interpersonal skills and an engaging telephone manner are also a must as you will spend some of your time talking to external business partners too such as banks, brokers and solicitors etc.

To be considered for these opportunities, candidates are required to be coming from a position within Bridging, Mortgages or Residential lending within either a Broker, Lender, Bank or Building Society environment. Due to the growth that this business has planned over the next few years, I am specifically looking for candidates that are interested in a long term move.
