Accounts Assistant, Chinese Mandarin Speaking, New Malden, Surrey, South West London
The Role:
This position provides financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports.
Responsibilities Include:
- Entering purchase invoices and liaising with suppliers to ensure they keep a good working relationship
- Entering and chasing credit card receipts from staff members
- Entering expenses on to the accounting system and monitoring mileage claimed
- Entering Contractor payments into the payment system
- Making Bacs payment to suppliers
- Posting accruals and Prepayments
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
- Sorting daily incoming post
- Reconciling finance accounts
- Ensuring Trail Balance is up to date at the end of each month
- Credit Control
- Ensuring Trail Balance is up to date at the end of each month
- UK Bank reconciliation and European banks reconciliation
- Assisting with preparation of UK and European VAT returns
- Maintaining Fixed Asset register
- Posting accruals and Prepayments
- Other Ad Hoc duties as requested by Team Leader/Manager
The Ideal Candidate:
- Accounting experience
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Powder Point
- Able to work on own initiative or with others on tasks with minimum supervision in a demanding working environment as well as working in a team.
Hours of Work: 42.5 hours, 08:30- 18:00 Monday to Friday
