The School of Arts and Cultures is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant or Associate to work alongside Andrew Newman, on the Arts and Humanities Research Council funded Dementia and Imagination project, which seeks to explore how art can improve the lives of older people with dementia and their carers.
You will be expected to undertake analysis of quantitative and qualitative data collected by the project, and help in the dissemination and presentation of the research. You should have a knowledge of arts based projects relating to dementia, and ethics procedures in research involving adults and/or people living with dementia.
You should possess excellent communication skills as you will be required to co-ordinate project partners and liaise with external stakeholders. You will have a PhD or be working towards one. You will need knowledge of cultural gerontology literature and research methods. You will be experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated.
