Purpose and Main Duties
A fixed term post for a graduate teaching assistant (GTA) is available in the Department of Organizational Psychology in the School of Business, Economics & Informatics. This post provides an exciting opportunity to study for a PhD while gaining valuable experience as a teaching assistant.
Candidate Requirements
We welcome applications from strong candidates with research interests in the field of organizational psychology and a desire to pursue an academic career. Candidates are advised to check the research interests of the department’s academic staff http://www.bbk.ac.uk/orgpsych/staff/academics to see if any of them list an area related to the candidate’s area of interest to maximize the prospects of a potential PhD supervisor.
The post holder will need to be registered as a research student within the Department for the period of employment and the Home/EU registration fees will be waived. Candidates will be considered for admission to the MPhil/PhD programme first (please see http://www.bbk.ac.uk/orgpsych/prospective/phd/apply) and for the GTA post only after they have been offered a place in the programme. The posts are open to full-time home, EU and international students.

Salary: Grade 6, which is £15,846.50 per annum inclusive of London Allowance (0.5 FTE pro-rata to the full-time equivalent of £31,693 per annum). Postgraduate tuition Home/EU fees will also be waived.
This job is part time working 17.5 hours (0.5 FTE) per week and fixed term for a period of up to three years. The salary quoted above is inclusive of London allowance and will be pro-rata per annum. The appointment may be subject to a probationary period of up to six months.
