The Role:
We are looking to strengthen Supply Chain processes and systems, with particular focus on planning and inventory management, and is therefore creating the new position of Planning and Logistics Manager. The role requires a broad experience in a Supply Chain function and in working in developing markets.
Supply Chain management has largely been left to country teams, however there is now a need to define and implement globally standard processes and tools to achieve both better Supply Chain performance in country, but also improved global visibility and planning. The above constitutes a major transformation and improvement programme for MSI and it will be fundamental that there is a close engagement with other stakeholders (the executive leadership team, Regional and Country Directors) to gain their support and advocacy.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Define and manage global planning, inventory management and distribution processes.
- Own the definition and implementation of in-country Supply Chain to-be organisation structures, processes and tools. Manage the transformation of the organisation to global Supply Chain best practices.
- Ensure quality control processes are followed throughout the Supply Chain to the point of delivery.
- Work with the appropriate stakeholders in the organisation to define and implement cross-functional processes such as new product development and introduction, and integrated planning.
About you:
To be considered for the role you will have:
- Sound experience managing an end to end supply chain function internationally (essential).
- Competent in managing integrated planning, inventory management and distribution processes, and be familiar with procurement, contract manufacturing and quality control (essential).
- Demonstrable ability to manage a transformation such as that envisaged (essential).
- Solid experience driving efficiency and cost reduction, whilst delivering the quality and service standards necessary (essential).
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience (essential). CIPS or other relevant Supply Chain qualification (desirable).
