Accounts Assistant

My client is a well established publishing company based in the heart of West London who has been successful publishing since the 1800’s. Operating out of a small office based a short walk from Hammersmith Broadway my client Publishes, Prints and Distributes Material to the Religious Market. With a small accounts team of two the successful candidate will need to be acustomed to taking ownership over work whilst developing and implementing new ways of working in order to support both the Financial Controller and The Organisation. 

In order to be successful within this role you will need to be available to start no later than Monday 15th February. 

Role Overview:

In order to be successful within this role you will be required to be competent working up to Trial Balance and exceptionally confident with your debits and credits. My client uses the Exchequer accounts system, which although would place candidates in a favourable position it is not essential. You will however be required to be competent and confident using Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Look up etc) 

· Producing accounts up to Trial balance
· Responsible for the Payroll (Iris software)
· Good knowledge of Excel (inc. pivot Tables, Lookups, etc.)
· Invoicing and cash allocation
· VAT submission & EC sales
· Payments
· Balance sheet reconciliations, inc bank reconciliations

The ideal candidate will be a creative finance professional with experience within similar roles. You will be analytical, precise and accustomed to dealing with multiple accounts on a daily basis. Within this role you will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller You will be effective in developing relationships and understand the importance of team work.
