Description
Within this diverse role, you will be required to:
– Contributing to and drafting the weekly internal Bulletin and producing a range of timely and informative communications for the charity’s staff and volunteers.
– Organising press visits, media events, photocalls and filming and briefing spokespeople to give interviews that positively promote the work of the charity.
– Spotting news stories internally and developing and disseminating them for staff and volunteers through tailored communication tools.
– Acting as a Communications link in a crisis management situation and managing the media in crisis communication when required by the Director of Communications.
Profile
The succesful candidate will have the following attributes:
– Sound knowledge of dealing with the media, including issues
– Ability to cope well under pressure in a busy communications environment, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
– Awareness of and sensitivity to the political and cultural environment in which the organisation is operating.
– Sound knowledge of marketing communications functions particularly Internal Communications.
Job Offer
The client is offering a competitive salary between £80-£90 per day and to start in February.
