Senior Support Worker
Health & Ed are looking for a Senior Support Worker to work within semi-independent units based in South London. The successful candidates will be motivated individuals who want to make a difference to young people’s lives.
Suitable candidates will have experience and/or knowledge in the following:
- Experience of supporting vulnerable young people.
- An understanding of the needs and how to deal with challenging behaviour.
- An understanding of substance use/abuse
- An understanding of mental health needs.
- Ability to be flexible, approachable and accessible at all times.
They will also need to be energetic, motivated, resilient and enthusiastic in their approach. Excellent communicator who shows initiative is essential. Experience working with young adults with challenging behaviour is an advantage.
Applicants must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce or above and must hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the DBS Update Service.
The post involves shift work between Monday – Sunday, and may including sleep-ins and/or waking nights.
