Job Title: Sales Advisor


Location: Habitat Finchley Road store


Salary: £7.00 per hour (rising to £7.50 on successful completion of probation)


Hours: Part Time Contract Available (30 hours per week)


The purpose of the role is to support the Management team in a shared commitment to delivering the business goals of the store. A Visual Assistant is responsible for providing a high level of service to our customers and ensuring company visual standards are met, in accordance with established principles and guidelines


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Getting customers to… buy more, come back and tell others
Optimise potential of Store by driving results through strong commercial and operational disciplines and high visual standards
Well presented departments and thorough knowledge of products
Minimal loss through damage and theft
Taking an active part in making the team work
Work collaboratively with store management team to deliver store goals by utilising local knowledge of competitors and awareness of external factors
Ensure all business activities are in compliance with national laws, regulations and operating policies
Adheres to company policies and guidelines


Key Accountabilities:


SALES: Drive sales & profit


Regularly checks store and department’s sales performance
Proactively drives sales in the store
Implements all necessary visual moves and promotions as directed
Ensuring appropriate feedback to Line Manager to influence future trading opportunities
Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, using local knowledge, to maximise trading opportunities e.g. local marketing where agreed.
Work with Line Manager to ensure deliveries are prioritized and processed within the appropriate timescales.
Maximise sales and profit by using Top 20 report to ensure all in stock best sellers are available to buy
Minimise shrinkage and ensure effective and accurate inventory control in order to maximise stock replenishment and densities.
Drives sales events and promotions
Communicate sales and stock issues to Line Manager
Identify new opportunities and share best practice to drive improved results across the store
Supporting our multi-channel business and ensure that store plays it’s part e.g. growing database for direct marketing, e.g. Mailing List


SERVICE: Provide great service


Generate excitement and shared commitment to providing great service ensuring everyone working towards getting customers to… buy more, come back and tell others
Demonstrate ‘customer comes first’ all the time, sales behaviours, meeting customer expectations, Resolving customer issues and using product knowledge to generate sales
Cover the till point efficiently and correctly wraps products as required
Answers the telephone in line with Habitat guidelines
Ensures department deployment adhered to and is focused on meeting customers needs
Sells current promotions to customers
Implements practical solutions to ensure customer service objectives are achieved
Follows all company and store service initiatives
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of products within area
Focus on KPI’s which indicate great service e.g. Conversion, ATV, UPT [and Mystery Shop result]


STANDARDS: Deliver consistent standards


Drive consistently high visual standards in Store working with Visual Manager/Visual Planner to maintain company guidelines in the most commercial and customer focused way to deliver optimum sales
Comply with merchandise presentation and housekeeping standards, including till points, to ensure they are in line with company guidelines and best practice.
Ensure store is driving operational efficiencies both front and back of house and that best practice is shared with Store
Ensure high standards of presentation are maintained by knowing the layout of the department and location of product and being aware of stock availability
Ensure all product is correctly replenished and priced as necessary
Handles all administration processes in line with Habitat procedures
Adhere consistently to legal requirements, Health & Safety and general duty of care
Minimise shrinkage by carefully handling product to reduce damage and loss
