Account Business Development Manager
Duties and responsibilities
The individual’s main duties and responsibilities will include –
- Being an account manager of one or more Russian based lock clients and being the main point of contact with the client through the process;
- Attending client facing meeting with management to discuss the client’s business needs once placing an order;
- As the client base is mostly based in Russia, the individual will be required to travel to Russia on a frequent basis to development and maintain client relationships and so it would be preferred that the person can speak and write fluently in Russian;
- APECS’ manufacturing arm of the business is based in China and if a business needs arises, the person will be required to travel to china and meet with them to discuss the APECS locks, discussing the design and modify the prototypes of the locks if required in line with the client specifications;
- UK travel will be required to meet with the UK based clients, it is desired that the individual must hold a UK driving licence (this is not essential);
- APECS is a member of ‘Master Locksmiths Associations (MLA) and as the Account Business Development person, they will be required to attend the exhibition and promote the business and the products of APECS;
- The person will be required to produce on a quarterly basis reports for the Russian arm of the business on UK based clients’ products and future developments;
- Drafting and production of reports on newly designed locks to clients demonstrating the design, lock mechanics and ensuring all products are produced in line with the country’s strict product and legal standards;
- The individual will be solely responsible for tracking the whole process for their client from the initial client meeting to design specifications to the actual production of the product ensuring it is delivered to the client in time for their service level agreement and ensuring the client is updated on all elements of the process;
- The person will have to draft and assigning all Client Care Letters and agreements;
- Working with the Chinese arm ensuring the products are produced in line with the design specifications.
Location of the role – Chelsea Harbour, London
Salary package – £32,500 basic salary. In line with the government roll out a pension scheme will be offered to all employees upon completion of their probation. Please note the pension scheme is due to be implemented in March 2016.
Skills and qualifications –
- Previous knowledge of locks, lock design and lock mechanics
- Knowledge of marketing and business development and how to successfully promote a business
- Russian language (it would be essential that the person can speak and write in Russian fluently to a business environment level)
