Celebratory Officer - Kent County Council - Bexley

Are you flexible, confident and friendly? Then this opportunity could be for you.

The Kent Registration Service is looking for Celebratory Officers to register and conduct their diverse range of civil ceremonies; these include marriages, renewal of vows and welcomings.

We have annualised hours contracts available across the county for 224 hours and 124 hours per annum. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments over the year regardless of the hours worked that month.

Our busy period is from July to September. During this time you will be required to work a minimum of 3 out of 4 Fridays or Saturdays if you are on a 224 hour contract, and a minimum of 2 out of 4 Fridays or Saturdays on a 124 hour contract. This is the minimum requirement during our busy period and the expectation is you will be more available during this time. There is also an expectation you will make yourself available to cover the rest of the year.

Whilst you will be allocated to a District, the ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential.
