Senior Consultant – Leading Graduate Recruitment Company


Up to £35,000 + £15,000, Bonus, Uncapped OTE £50,000


My client specialises in graduate recruitment across all sectors in the UK and globally. They manage graduate campaigns for some of the world’s best known brands and attract, recruit and select the highest calibre graduates for each organisation. This is a very exciting time for them as they look to expand and grow the business including a new service for employers. They need an ambitious and talented individual to help them to do just that!


We are looking for a Senior Recruitment Consultant to join my clients busy Central London office. This is an excellent opportunity for you to make the next step in your career in terms of developing and managing your own portfolio of clients, including account management and sourcing the best candidates to fill those opportunities. As its graduate recruitment they are looking for an experienced person who can really bring roles and companies to life – this, ultimately, can be one of the biggest decisions in a graduate’s life so far, and they need an expert who goes beyond the typical consultant to help them make that decision. Experience in graduate recruitment is a plus but not essential. As long as you have solid agency experience, probably as a recruitment consultant or senior recruitment consultant, and experience of new client acquisition, excellent account management, candidate headhunting/attraction and achieving/exceeding targets, training will be provided on the UK graduate market.


Typically they operate with roles that demand people of a very high academic calibre, often in shortage course disciplines, as well as relevant work experience, so someone who would be comfortable with clients and candidates this end of the market, or pick it up quickly, would do well.


As this is a newly created role it requires an individual who has drive, credibility and ambition to tackle employers and bring new companies on board. You really do need to be a persuasive person who will open doors, in an effective yet professional way. This is a really exciting opportunity as this part of our business will have considerable growth in the next two years.


The successful Senior Recruitment Consultant will need to have:


  • At least eighteen months + agency recruitment experience – Probably as a recruitment consultant or senior consultant (senior recruitment consultant)

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree

  • Proactive personality with a can do attitude

  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written

  • Evidence of building relationships at all levels

  • Strong organisational ability – Also able to provide collaborative strategic and operational input as business grows

  • A track record of meeting, achieving and exceeding targets

  • Intellectual curiosity about both business and people
