Collaboration / Digital Workplace Architect - London

We require a Collaboration / SharePoint Architect to help deliver engaging, modern web portals and applications in a growing collaboration practice – in this role, the candidate will analyse, design, architect & implement & Microsoft based solutions to address our clients’ collaboration and communication needs. We are looking for a disciplined, and self-motivated individual who has a passion for utilizing the Microsoft collaboration platform (SharePoint, Yammer, Sway, Delve, Skype, OneDrive etc) to solve real business problems for our customers.

Responsibilities

•Understand business goals and drivers and translate those into an appropriate technical solution

•Be versed in SharePoint platform architecture, related technologies and their interdependencies

•Gather technical requirements, assess client capabilities and analyze findings to provide appropriate infrastructure recommendations and solution direction

•Create the conceptual, logical and physical design for SharePoint-based solutions

•Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems

•Learn and adopt new tools and techniques to increase performance

•Share best practices with internal team members and clients

•Collaborate as part of larger delivery teams which may include project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, visual designers and change management professionals

•Provide technical direction and oversight to SharePoint / Yammer implementation teams

Requirements

•5+ years project experience deploying intranets, extranets, collaborative work spaces, company portals or departmental websites / apps

•3+ years architecting and implementing SharePoint farm infrastructure and topologies

•Project experience implementing content management solutions that focus on workflow management, document archiving, content creation, and deployment strategies for web-focused business teams or consumers

•Deep SharePoint product knowledge and understanding of product features including:

?Content types

?Lists and libraries

?Workflow

?Document management

?Feature framework

?Publishing infrastructure

• Experience with Office 365, Yammer & SharePoint Online

• Experience configuring and tuning SQL Server to support SharePoint

•Experience configuring and tuning IIS 7 and above

•Experience with Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, claims, web Single Sign-on (SSO), OAuth and related authentication technologies

•Transport Layer Security / SSL principles and management

•Experience with networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies)

•Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V

•Practical experience sizing SharePoint hardware and storage needs

•Relational database design principles

•Object Oriented design principles

•Expertise in UX design

•Strong analytical problem solving ability

•Good presentation skills together with excellent written and verbal communication skills

•Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team

•Performance analysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniques

•High Availability and Disaster Recovery principles, patterns and usage

•Understanding of SharePoint 2013 above App Model development principles

•3+ years previous consulting experience, with Microsoft Gold Partners, Big 4 consulting firms or in managing complex collaboration infrastructure in industry.

Desired

•Practical experience implementing Yammer, O365 collaboration & user productivity solutions (Sway / Delve) and SharePoint 2010 onwards

•MVC and modern web development experience (.NET, C#, HTML5, jQuery, Bootstrap, CSS3)

•Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based infrastructure & development

•Production experience with deployment and management of SharePoint Apps

•Experience with identity management solution integrations (ADFS, Azure ACL etc.), in direct or hybrid environments (On-Prem to Online)

•Experience crafting and facilitating Enterprise Social adoption

•Knowledge of workflow solutions, ability to facilitate business process discovery sessions and convert these into SharePoint workflow solutions
