Graphic Designer

Graphic Designer – £18,000 p/a + bonuses

Triple Take is an exciting and ambitious new start-up design agency providing a variety of design, print, media and marketing services to clients predominantly in the Arts, Higher Education, Events and Entertainment sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident designer or recent graduate who wants to get in on the ground level with a new company. You will work alongside the Creative Director to develop the business’s design character from its founding onwards, with excellent prospects for promotion as the company expands. You will be actively encouraged to challenge the status quo, giving you a pivotal role in the growth and direction of the company.

While at least some of the experience and skills listed below are required, many of them can be considered desirable, as some training will be given. Similarly, experience within any of the above mentioned sectors or mediums is desirable, but is by no means a requirement. Much of the company’s current work consists of posters, flyers, brochures, programmes and large format graphics, but we are eager to expand into new areas. Work could be tailored to fit your skillset, as the company is early enough in its development to work with new clients from a variety of sectors with a range of project demands. Experience in branding development or illustration design would be particularly beneficial.

You would be suited to the role if you are a good all-rounder with excellent design skills, the ability to work unsupervised and to deadlines, and the desire to work hard to build the company into a successful enterprise, in order to further your own career. If you are successful, you will both complement and add to the breadth of skills already present within the company. The work will at times be client-facing, involving briefing meetings, concept development discussions and pitch presentations.

  • Excellent career development prospects

  • Bonus package if company’s targets are met

  • Collaborative and supportive atmosphere

  • Subscription to design magazines and tutorial services

Responsibilities:

  • Working on a variety of creative briefs spanning print, digital, web and branding from concept to completion

  • Concept and idea generation with the creative director

  • Meet with and present to clients on occasion

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a wide variety of design skills and experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to sketch ideas and illustrate concepts by hand

  • Creative flair for ideas generation

  • Close attention to detail

  • Ability to deliver creative and high quality work under pressure

  • Ability to comfortably present your own creative ideas with authority

  • Eagerness to continue learning and skills development

  • Good working knowledge of Adobe software
