Regional Visual Merchandiser - National Furniture Business



A key role within the National Visual Merchandising Team of a National retail business has arisen. You must have furniture or home furnishing experience in a Visual Merchandising capacity. The role is regional and also requires that you hold a full valid driving licence as a fully expensed vehicle is provided.


Your main purpose is to implement the Visual Merchandise strategy throughout the business and maintain an exceptional high standard of display and merchandising, supporting the sales and retail operation teams to enhance and maximise sales capabilities. This will be achieved through the demonstration of our key leadership characteristics and by championing the company values.


You are responsible for policing, achieving and wherever possible exceeding the Visual merchandise strategy at all times to maximise sales efficiencies throughout the group.


You must build strong, close working relationships with the following key areas to ensure the smooth running of the day to day operation of the business.


  • Store management teams – get to know each store individually to make the most of your skill set for each individual location

  • Have open and close working relationships with your specific Regional Controller, the operational teams and the buying teams

  • Visual Merchandising team – to become a strong and integral strand of the team with one common goal in mind

  • Value opinions and be open to knowledge and expertise within the company

  • Ask for help and escalate problems to your immediate manager if required

New Store Openings and Special Projects


You are responsible for being an integral part of new store openings and special projects where the following requirements may be issued.


Coming off ‘patch’ to assist in any major projects outside of your day to day store responsibilities


  • Take the lead as the on-site professional and take control where necessary

  • Demonstrate commitment and reasonable flexibility until full completion of the project

  • Contributing positively and effectively in all team settings

Skill Set


  • Have strong capable commercial awareness

  • High standards of dressing, layout and design techniques and be able to influence and implement them correctly in line with the business’ requirements

  • Be able to organise and plan, think creatively, problem solve and innovate.

  • Ensure all P.O.S. display materials are displayed in line with showroom standards
