The Role:

The Technology Manager will lead the development of an overall enterprise technology roadmap, and provide expertise and technology oversight and direction in the evaluation and implementation of new IT solutions and major projects. The role will take ownership of all internal IS systems and technologies from a support and solutions prospective. They will recommend technology solutions improvements and look to work with the business to solve business challenges. The role will lead the 3rd level Infrastructure team and provide guidance, mentoring and skills transfer.

This role will oversee daily operations and make sure that all systems are available within agreed business SLAs. Working closely with the Service Desk Manager to report monthly on performance – a detailed understanding of ITIL and related processes is a key part of this role.

About You:

• 
  

  10 or more years of professional IT experience in large scale, distributed environment with hands on experience in multiple technologies and multiple roles. ITIL Foundation Certification is essential.

  Broad experience with and exposure to enterprise applications and multi-platform environments to enable the proper perspective and ability to design an enterprise solution

  
  


• 
  

  Experience in the design, development, implementation and operational support of mission critical solutions in large scale environments and organisations

  
  


• 
  

  Strong working knowledge of ITIL (essential), Prince 2 (preferential), ISO27001a, Application Delivery Systems (including Citrix XenApp, RDS), Server Virtualisations Platforms (including VMware vSphere, HyperV)

  LAN hardware (including Cisco and Sonicwall)

  
  


• 
  

  Storage Networking (including EMC)

  
  


• 
  

  Windows Server Platforms 2008 / 2012, Core Windows server technologies

  
  


• 
  

  Cloud Platforms and SAAS, Azure, Amazon, O365, Intune, System Center
