We are establishing ourselves as the leading graduate recruitment consultancy in the UK – having tripled in size in the last year and brought on clients such as Whitbread, Just Eat, The Boston Consulting Group and Red Bull, we’re certainly on our way there.

Wiser Graduates is a subsidiary of Wiser – a recruitment/advertising group that is changing the perceptions of the industries it works in. Wiser has capabilities across online advertising, recruitment and executive search.

The Role

At Wiser, some of our best and largest clients trust us with managing their entire graduate programmes – companies such as Whitbread, Just Eat and other great brands all fall into our Managed Service department; we call this The Schemes Team.

We are looking for motivated, intelligent, curious and sophisticated graduates to come into our Key Accounts Team to help deliver these graduate programmes. This is very different to a contingent recruitment role, as all of these clients are retained – this means that they pay us a monthly fee to manage their process, rather than pay us per person that we place.

As such, the way that we pay you is different. This role is all about relationships, not sales – a successful candidate will have the ability to build lasting and rewarding relationships with senior people in important, often FTSE 100-listed businesses. You are not going to be a salesperson, so you won’t get paid like one – we pay a basic salary of £25,000, plus delivery bonuses based on how well you complete your projects.

We are tasked with the delivery of a challenging volume of top-notch people for incredible brands – so this is not just ‘bums-on-seats’ recruitment; our services range from web design, to brand management, to corporate video production, for these clients. Expect a lot of variety in your role.

This role is similar to that of a Delivery Consultant – it is not a business development based position and so we don’t want people who just want to sell, sell, sell – we need people who can design and implement intelligent and often complex processes to enable themselves to deliver for our most important partnerships.

Requirements

• A 2:1 or above from a Top 20 (or thereabouts) UK university


• Some commercial experience; this is a role working with complex corporate structures, so an understanding of the commercial world is beneficial


• Evidence that you have not just ‘taken the path of least resistance’ – being able to show us that you’ve done something above and beyond what was expected of you and used your initiative to better yourself is essential.


• Ability to have fun, work hard and eat lots and lots of food!
