Senior Supplier Relationship Manager within a small, high performance team for a globally recognized British Brand.
Client Details
Our client is a globally recognized and respected media company based in London. Their procurement team is responsible for managing an annual spend of £1.4bn, £650m of which is with the client’s strategic, out-sourced contracts.
Description
As Senior Supplier Relationship Manager you will report directly to the Head of Procurement and Supplier Development taking responsibility for SRM ensuring value for money across the organization. You will work closely with Category and Contract Managers to improve outsourced contracts and key supplier relationships across 11 core areas.. In addition you will ensure strategic contract management and identify gaps in policy, guidance and governance. This will require you to regularly report to the board.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Providing a portfolio of strategic contracts with emphasis on managing inter dependencies, identifying trends and managing portfolio risks and issues.
- Developing and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships, particularly those who are directly accountable for the client’s outsourced contracts
- Working with principal representatives of major outsourced contracts to to identify linkages, share best practice and improve contract performance and measurement
- Develop and implement a consistent and appropriate best practice approach to contract and supplier relationship management
- Deliver commercial support to the business including assessing and managing the impact of change and advising on appropriate governance.
- Assist Contract Managers in the deployment of appropriate contract management tools
- Undertaking external research and analysis to identify opportunities from other organizations that may bring value and improvement to the client’s out-sourced contracts

Profile
Key Qualities of the individual
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and professionally qualified
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of procurement and its trends with particular focus on supplier relationship and contract management
- Proven track record of maintaining high complexity outsourced contracts.
- Excellent interpersonal oral and written skills with an established track record of developing, maintaining and influencing relationships with key stakeholders
