As a key performer within our client’s Performance Management Team, you will provide specialist professional procurement advice and co-ordinate procurement activities across the business, it’s partners and Clients. This will involve assisting in the implementation of corporate and service specific contracts – from initial feasibility studies, contract documentation, tendering, negotiation and award through to monitoring and management of the contracts.

With relevant experience and knowledge of legal and regulatory legislation, particularly relating to the public sector, you will be required to assist the Senior Procurement Officer in developing and implementing a variety of key procurement issues and policies, including e-procurement, sustainability in the supply chain, ethical procurement and maximising collaborative procurement as business needs dictate.

Educated to degree/professional qualification standard or equivalent, you will need to have Associate Membership of CIPS or be studying towards Membership. With practical procurement experience including full involvement in the tendering process, procedures and monitoring, you should have experience of working with multi-functional teams utilising ICT solutions to ensure effective procurement.

With impressive negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to prioritise and organise a busy workload, you will have a sound knowledge of environmental sustainability issues. A strong team player, you should also be detail conscious, confident and visionary with excellent interpersonal skills.

Your own transport is required and flexibility is key, as you will be travelling to various sites within the business.
