HR Generalist - Payroll & Pensions



OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
To administer the payroll and pensions and other benefits on a monthly and annual basis. Also, support the team with any admin workload and duties including maintenance of the HR system.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & PERFORMANCE OUTCOMES:


The following areas will form the main criteria of your Job Role and will be considered as areas to be used for the purpose of assessing your performance.


To process monthly Payroll correctly & on time, to ensure payment on the 25th of each month.


Routine monthly payroll including variable changes and ensuring that the payroll diary is correct and up to date.
Internal and external Year end routines & monthly routines.
Ensure all monthly reports & journals are submitted, by the month end.
Ensure that new starters are added and ex-employees are removed (and P45 issued) from the payroll.
Annual preparation of P11d.
Manual payroll calculations, overpayments/underpayments/adjustments to pay.
Calculate loan reclamation each month.
Administer sick notes and keep accurate records, calculate company sick pay and SSP
Administer SMP/SAP/SPP/ASPP and keep accurate records.
Ensure that bonuses and commission payments are made correctly -Including calculating the figures to be paid.
Re-charge for mobile phone usage.


To administer Co. welfare benefits


Monthly & annual Pension routines/auto-enrolment
DIS & PHI routines monthly & annually.
Support the company’s EAP
Ensure that all new staff are added and ex staff are removed re above
Correspond with the pension provider
Each year ensure that nomination forms are updated or confirmed.
Prepare annual reward statements.


To ensure that Pay and Benefits policy is effective and fair


Ensure that the company complies with any legal obligations, concerning Equal Pay and equal treatment of part time and fixed term workers
Keeping up to date with pay and pensions regulations.
Ensure that pay is consistent between Divisions and pay groups.
Review financial and non-financial rewards to ensure employees feel they are being rewarded fairly for their performance
Obtain and monitor salary surveys to compare salaries by maintaining a benchmarking database.
Prepare Total Reward Statements
Prepare relevant reports on productivity


HR
Monitor and manage fobs/door passes
Maintain Clockwise, HR System
Adding/removing employees/ changing work patterns/ changing details/amending holidays and attendance/setting up employees within the company structure.
Responding to reference requests.
Helping with internal and external correspondence
Offer letters/contracts/promotion/salary increases/bonuses/ leavers letters.
Organising and maintaining HR drive/files
Organising / assisting in company events
