Station Control Assistants x4, London Bridge Station - Network Rail - London

Monitoring station systems and liaising with teams on the ground you’ll play a key role in overseeing the smooth day to day running of the station, helping create a safe and secure environment for all of our customers. About the role (External)

A unique opportunity to become part of the London Bridge station team as the Thameslink redevelopment programme transforms the station into a more spacious, accessible and modern transport hub.

Based in the new Integrated Station Control, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the smooth day to day running of this increasingly busy station as part of the new concourse and some new platforms and facilities come into operation later this year. Liaising with teams on the ground you’ll help monitor and maintain a station environment that is fully compliant with safety and operational standards. Managing the safety and security of our passengers will be a top priority.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the Shift Station Manager during disruption and help to coordinate the management of overcrowding and emergency situations. Through the most unexpected disruptions, whatever time of the day or night, y ou’ll stay calm under pressure, make quick decisions and communicate these effectively to the station team. You’ll also liaise with other control and signalling centres as well as emergency services, and use the operational information system to keep our passengers informed throughout.

With so many changes happening this summer, this a really exciting time to join the London Bridge station team and help to deliver the future.
