A terrific opportunity has arisen for an experienced ACA / ACCA qualified Manager to join a reputable mid-tier firm. The need to recruit has come about due to reasons of expansion and you will therefore be part of a growing and high achieving organisation.
The nature of the role will have an approximate even split of audit, accounts and tax – meaning, you will enjoy lots of variety in your day-to-day work whilst handling an interesting and varied client base.
Based out of their London office, the following shall effectively be the work asked of you:
1.To manage a portfolio of clients (starting at around £400k) ensuring that for each client all deadlines are met, the work is carried out within budget and the job is finalised to minimise partner review time.
2.To take part in other ad-hoc exercises such as investigations, valuations and other duties as required by clients or partners.
3.To plan jobs and organise assignments to ensure the job is carried out in the most efficient way possible and that deadlines are met.
4.To consider firm-wide productivity and efficiency when planning jobs and booking staff.
5.To carry out all work, and ensure the work of staff is in line with ISO 9001 procedures.
6.To provide clear instruction and constructive feedback to staff in a timely manner.
7.To act as training manager and mentor to allocated trainees.
8.To assist with motivation of all staff and takes an active role in managing issues informally, raises more serious matters with HR where appropriate.
9.To produce training material and regularly presents training to trainees on a variety of topics.
10.To actively participate in meetings, workshops and training.
11.To take an active role in practice development activities aiming to build on current client relationships and establish new opportunities.
12.To attend training and be committed to CPD, continually developing and increasing your knowledge and skills to give the best possible service and advice to clients and fellow colleagues.
13.To assist with billing procedures and debt collection where appropriate and in liaison with client partner.
14.To provide ideas and input to new innovations and improvements to help improve efficiency and productivity and better improve the quality of services we offer.
Opportunity to progress from a Managerial level shall most certainly be there and it is expected of that individual that they will be motivated and driven to not only fulfil the above duties to the best of their capability, but also, to want to progress within the organisation to Senior Manager / Director level and ultimately, make Partner.
