Garment Technologist

Working closely with design, development, production, sales, teams and ensuring that the correct specification, quality, fit of garments are delivered. To work pro-actively with suppliers to ensure delivery of product to the agreed, quality standards & within the agreed time-scales.
Advise and support the designers on fabric and technology innovations without compromising on quality standards or margin.
Risk asses product at development handover stage.
To work closely with the Design / Product development and production teams and suppliers
To work closely with design to ensure that specifications are created & updated
To assist design, at initial design and proto stage with fabric knowledge & garment construction knowledge.
Review Proto / Salesman / Graded specifications/PP/PS and bulk AQL’s
Develop new fits and blocks for new ranges.
Maintain standard measurement records for all garments. Measure all samples to ensure that they confirm to size & design spec.
Organise & Attend all fit meetings for Proto / Salesman / Pre-Production samples.
Ensure that all fit comments are effectively communicated to the suppliers within agreed critical path timescales.
To work with suppliers to ensure all production issues and delays are managed effectively, to minimise delays to deliveries,
When required To be able to work with CMT suppliers in UK / Overseas, ensuring that products arrive in UK within agreed timescale and to the agreed quality standard.
Ensure that Critical path is completed and adhered to across all products
To co-ordinate testing of fabrics / garments across all products, to ensure that products meet all Wolsey quality standards.
