• Well led school, executive principle and head teacher have formed a solid union and steered improvements in key areas of the school
• Pupils attitude towards learning has greatly improved since the last inspection and contribute to the calm and purposeful atmosphere around the school


The Role
• To effectively plan and deliver lessons/programmes in accordance with the Subject/School’s Scheme of work and National Curriculum requirements, ensuring all learning is explicitly planned and differentiated for all learners
• To regularly assess and record students’ performance, reporting to the appropriate Subject Leaders, external agencies, outside providers and to parent/carers as required and advising on examination entries as appropriate
• To be prepared to undertake continuing professional development
• To contribute to subject and whole school improvement, participating in subject and staff meetings as appropriate
• To undertake duties as a tutor, including keeping an accurate attendance register
• To communicate with parents/carers on a regular basis in order to discuss progress, achievement and attainment
• To be thorough in keeping records and using data to inform target settings and planning


Skills and Experience
• Up to date knowledge and understanding of GCSE Geography
• Ability to meet all the needs of all students
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the requirements needed to carry out the main responsibilities
• Proven record of high quality teaching and classroom management
• Relevant and successful recent teaching experience of Geography


This role would be ideal for a teacher who has a real commitment to raising the achievements of all students, is able to motivate staff and students, and has a sense of humour and perspective.
