Summary


During this project the post holder will be involved in data processing and analysis of different image modalities including diffusion imaging tractography and cortical thickness analysis. The post holder will explore the asymmetry of the occipital lobe tracts and cortical areas using the dataset from the Human Connectome Project.


Details


The successful applicant will have at least a BSc/BA or equivalent in a relevant subject.


They will have a knowledge and familiarity with neuroanatomy and neuroimaging data analysis (MRI, fMRI, diffusion tractography); knowledge of research methods e.g. use of statistics, scientific writing, presentation skills and knowledge of diffusion imaging data analysis methods (e.g. DTI/Tractography).


Previous experience will include tractography of the occipital lobes, familiarity with analysis of dataset from the Human Connectome Project and deep knowledge of retinotopic mapping based on a previous research project.


The person appointed will be able to work well within a team, to be organised and methodical and to work independently seeking help appropriately when required. They will have a flexible approach to working arrangements.

Salary


The appointment will be made at Grade 5, Spine point 25 to 26, currently £27,328 to £28,143 per annum, plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.


Post duration


Fixed term contract for 12 months. Full time, 35 hours per week.
