An Audit Senior is required by a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Central London. Having benefitted from the recent upturn in the economy, they boast a client base that includes a raft of AIM-listed PLC’s, limited companies, partnerships and not-for profit organisations. With industry specialisms across leisure, property, digital technology and media, they are ideally placed to continue their growth.

Reporting to both Audit Managers and Partners, the responsibilities of the Audit Senior will include:
• Producing audit plans for agreement with the Audit Manager.
• Preparing and auditing statutory accounts.
• Preparing (consolidated) financial statements.
• Performing assessments of systems & controls and identifying risks as a result of these reviews.
• Performing analytical reviews; highlighting risk areas for further investigation.
• Supervising the work of and providing technical advice to more junior staff.
• Preparing draft Corporate and Personal tax returns on a few occasions.

The ideal candidate for the position of Audit Senior will be a qualified accountant (ACA distinctly preferred) who has either gained experience with UK based clients in a small firm and would like a step up or who has qualified in a larger UK based firm and would like to inject more variety into their role. You will be bright, engaging and will enjoy taking on early responsibility in a very client-facing role. You will also be ambitious as the firm likes to promote from within.
