This is a key area of their business; providing aprofessional service to Homeowners and Registered Builders, investigatingbuilding defects and damage and settling resolution claims.

You should have a construction background with a solidbuilding technical knowledge as well as knowledge of remedial techniques.Ideally you will hold a relevant technical qualification and have knowledge ofpotential causes of building defects, Building Regulations, constructiontechniques and Health and Safety.

As the first point of contact with Homeowners, theability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately in both letter andreport formats is essential. Good interpersonal skills are required, andexperience in preparing repair schedules would be an advantage. Membership suchas RICS, CIOB would be a distinct advantage. IT skills and a current drivinglicence are also essential.

They are looking for someone who will always be lookingto do things better and with attention to detail. Being able to put yourself inyour customer’s shoes and seeing things from their perspective, whilstbalancing operational parameters and behaving ethically.
