An experienced Java Developer that has an ambition to work within Big and Linked Data is required to join one of the world’s leading sources of intelligent information and software solutions. This role sits within their Enterprise Data Services group which provides Big & Linked Data platforms, as a service to internal and external customers.

Key Skills:

My client is currently seeking a highly motivated Java Developer who combines strong development skills with an interest in up-skilling in technologies around the Linked and Big Data space such as OWL, RDF, SPARQL and Hadoop. You will ideally have obtained an exposure to ETL and XML but this is not a pre-requisite

Responsibilities:

The Linked Data development team is tasked with the creation and utilization of a knowledge graph; built using linked data standards and associated data marts. They will then be responsible for the implementation of services and processes to populate and consume from their knowledge graph in the form of importers and data marts, utilizing standards and technologies from the Linked Data stable. You will also be responsible for the building of reusable and shareable code components and patterns to increase the adoption of the graph by business unit developers.
