Warehouse Operative / Order Picker / Dispatch - Paradox London - London N17
Deliver items to customers by verifying orders; arranging transportation, managing various dispatch carriers.
· Organises item orders by editing for price, promotions, weight compliance· Arranges shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating delivery requirements; placing and expediting orders
· Ships items by examining items, destination, route, rate, delivery time; ordering carriers
· Verifies items shipped by matching bills of lading; reconciling quantities; noting discrepancies
· Working with customer services informing of items availability, shipment date and method, and current status; answering questions.
· Replaces damaged items, shortages, and mis-shipments by determining optimal response of replacement or credit via the customer service help desk
· Protects organisation reputation by keeping pricing, promotion, purchase order, and credit-limit information confidential· Updates job knowledge by participating in training sessions
· Accomplishes organisation goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
· Answer incoming calls internally to the department to help manage customer expectation delivery times.
· Resolve calls in a calm and professional manner, including answering questions or giving advice where appropriate
· Provide excellent customer service whilst resolving problems with couriers· Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of department functions· Keep detailed records all U.K and International shipments
· Use computer systems to manage in-house and third party functions· Adhere to strict delivery deadlines
· Effectively manage own workload, and work unsupervised· Perform basic administrative work, including data entry
· Assist in the management of stock, warehouse and deliveries in and outbound· Ordering delivery packaging whilst being cost effective
