Horizon Teachers is now recruiting for a Maths teacher to work in a ‘Good’ mixed Academy in Lambeth to start in April. The school is looking for someone who can deliver Maths curriculum to KS3/4 and 5.
The Maths department is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and committed Maths teacher to join their successful department. Maths is a core subject at KS3 and a popular GCSE choice. The popularity of Maths at KS5 is growing; the school are looking for someone keen to teach C1/2, C3/4, M1/2 and S1/2.
In August 2014, 70% of students achieved A*- C with 22% of these students achieving A*-A. In August 2014 40% of students achieved A*-B in their AS exams with 30% of students achieving A*-B in their A-level assessments.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate consistent high-quality teaching, in-depth subject knowledge and a commitment to collaborative work. They will join an experienced department which benefits from having staff who have taught in a range of schools in London. Resources for all key stages are pre-planned and shared electronically; enabling staff time to differentiate resources for mixed-ability groups.
If interested in this role you must have the following:
– Qualified teacher status (QTS) or oversea trained.
– PGCE in Maths or degree level equivalent
– Extensive experience teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5
– Experience in a secondary school within the last two years
– Excellent subject knowledge
– Proven track record of raising attainment and keeping standards high
