Senior Design Co-ordinator – Main Contracting – £65k – £75k – London. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Design Co-ordinator to join a well-established and privately owned main contractor based in Essex. The projects include new build residential schemes as well as prestigious mixed-use developments. The contractor are also involved with design & build affordable housing and education projects as well as major estate and area regenerations. The Senior Design Co-ordinator would be based between their head office near Ilford and sites in London

A Senior Design Co-ordinator is required due to new partnering agreements with a multitude of future project plans. An excellent overall package is on offer for the right individual with directorship potential within the division

About the Role:

* To manage the design process for traditional and design and build contracts
* To act as the primary contact for the design teams, client and production teams
* To advise on cost effectiveness of alternative methods of construction
* To co-ordinate the design information supplied to our construction division
* To manage compliance checks against specification and client requirements
* To manage design output to agreed programmes
* To liaise with Local Authorities, Building Control and Planning Departments

About the Candidate:

* RIBA Qualified preferred
* Substantial professional background in architecture
* Substantial experience of new build residential projects
* A good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2000
* A good working knowledge of NHBC and building regulations
* A good appreciation of building services
* Minimum qualification as an architectural or structural technician
* A good understanding CSH, BREEAM
* Clean Smart appearance
* Long term team player
