Credit Controller

Portfolio Credit Control are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity to secure a new credit control role with one of the UK’s top employers. This is an opportunity for a strong commercial credit controller to join a busy credit control team on the collections of income and rents across their large list of clientele in a key period of growth.

Working within the team the credit controller will be contacting tenants via telephone and email as early as possible to ensure that arrears do not occur, you will be responsible for answering and resolving queries in a timely manner and in line with company Service Level Agreements which may involve you liaising with other departments within the business. The credit controller will be accountable for the maintenance and reporting of their own ledger.

Main Responsibilities:

· Main Accountabilities : List in order of priority, the major activities or functions necessary to achieve the job’s end results.

· Contribute to the team’s performance and customer service delivery whilst operating in line with the company values.

· Initiates emails and telephone calls to recover arrears

· Follows up with letters and eventually proceedings.

· Contribute towards team objectives and key performance indicators. Measured on targets for arrears recovery, having regard for resident satisfaction at all times.

· Work collaboratively with other Trust teams

· Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners. E.g. local authorities and outside collection agencies. Directs people in arrears to third party agencies that can help them.

· Maintain the necessary relevant Trust records and systems.

· Manage risks associated with areas under the job holders control.

The ideal candidate must have experience in a within a targeted environment and be happy to work in a fast paced customer service driven team. Good communication skills both written and oral are essential in this credit control position.
