People Business Partner - Mencap - London

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Business Partner to join our fantastic team. We have launched a strategy to ensure that the lives of people with a learning disability are improved in the here and now as well as the future. We are campaigning to change attitudes about learning disability and support thousands of people in the community to live full and rewarding lives. We want someone who is as passionate about our vision as we are.

As the People Business Partner you will fully contribute to and have accountability to our senior team with Marketing & Engagement which comprises of Fundraising and Campaigns, and will be expected to contribute to how they can succeed in the future. You will get to know the teams, their operating context, the market, and the people and use data to identify trends and cultural issues. As a trusted advisor to the senior leaders, you will also provide support and direction on people issues. You’ll identify and act upon the people implications of the business plan, changing needs and the commercial environment.

Ultimately, you’ll significantly enhance people management policy, capability and practice – and improve people’s performance, ability, engagement and motivation. With extensive HRBP experience and a CIPD qualification you will demonstrate that you add value beyond typical HR delivery and show that you drive HR strategy, influence and deliver change to meet business needs. Influential and engaging at the highest level, you will demonstrate excellent consultancy, partnership and relationship building skills. The role London based with regular travel to other Mencap offices such as Peterborough.
