Senior Furniture/CAD technician (Contract)

Our client specialise in creating and producing award winning kitchens, cabinetry and free standing furniture for the high-end residential market.

We are looking for an experienced CAD technician who can produce detailed workshop drawings on a temporary basis due to a busy period. This role is working closely with our kitchen designers, cabinet makers and operations team. This role will be based in our client’s London office, but you may be required to travel to the workshop and to customers/clients homes for measure ups (mostly south-west and central London) and so a driving licence is necessary.

Main duties:
-Producing measured surveys/assessments of project sites, issuing survey reports and drawings to co-ordinate involved parties
-Produce detailed workshop drawings, working on multiple projects using AutoCAD
-Specifically sourcing and detailing the use of high end materials
-Responsible fo new product development in collaboration with sales staff, designers and the workshop
-Contracting and liaising with external contractors – coordinating crossover manufacturing details

Essential:
-Minimum of 3 years experience working as a CAD technician in a joinery workshop
-AutoCAD fluent
-English speaking with excellent written and verbal communication
-Ability to work as a team and on their own
-Full UK driving licence
-The ability to identify problems and find alternative solutions
