Biology Teacher/Science Teacher Person Specification
We are looking for a charismatic Biology Teacher/Science Teacher who has a history of working closely with pupils with EAL requirements and those with Special Educational Needs and a demonstrable track record of ‘Good’ or better teaching. You should have the capability to create a positive motivating environment and maintain high expectations through your teaching. The school needs a teacher who has a natural talent for developing relationships with those around them and the administrative capability to insure their lessons are well planned and recorded. The perfect candidate will be able to bring a fun streak to effective lesson plans and take any challenging situations in their stride.

About the Biology Teacher/Science Teacher Role
As a Biology Teacher/Science Teacher your role will involve you teaching as an important member of the innovative Science Department. You will have an exciting new position as an Intervention that will mean extra responsibilities and a TLR bonus. The department is particularly proud of the Science department for its dynamism and new ideas that are nearly always readily picked up by the rest of the school. You will be carrying out this role under the full support of the SLT who are a really welcoming and supportive group of practitioners. As a Biology Teacher/Science Teacher you will be teaching from KS3 through to KS5, helping students to prepare well and succeed in their summative exams. As a core member of the teaching team you will be given full access to a variety of useful teaching resources and tools which includes well managed equipment. In this post you will be given a wide range of useful resources including audio sensory rooms and reporting to a responsible Head of Science. You will be able to teach with a creative style and your teaching will be improved thanks to a multitude of CPD options.
