Dual Diagnosis worker/AMHP - Westminster City Council - Westminster

Westminster City Council and CNWL MH Trust are setting up a new Dual Diagnosis Team in Westminster. This is an exciting time to join the team and be involved in developing the service which will work with service users with severe and enduring mental health needs as well as substance use needs. The focus of the team’s work will be on the substance use needs of service users.

The Team will consist of a Team Manager managing both the Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea Team; a Team Leader to manage the day to day work in Westminster; three qualified dual diagnosis workers; and a peer support worker. You will be based in one of the Community Mental Health Teams and will provide assessment and ongoing work with service users from all the Mental Health Teams; advice, support and training to mental health staff; contribute to the Trust’s policies and developments regarding dual diagnosis.

You will need to have a relevant professional qualification and significant post qualification experience in either mental health or substance use services. You will also need to have an understanding of the issues faced by service users with a dual diagnosis.

Warranted as an AMHP is desirable but not essential.
