Person Specification for SEBD/SEMH Teaching Assistant
The right applicant will have the ability to demonstrate confidence in their ability and a passion for extra-curricular activities. The school’s perfect candidate SEBD/SEMH Teaching Assistant is a graduate who can show the school the desire them have to teach and want to help seen students reach their potentials. We are hoping for an inventive graduate who has earned a second class degree or better and already worked successfully in a school-based role as a SEBD/SEMH Teaching Assistant.


About the Role of SEBD/SEMH Teaching Assistant
To ensure that you feel settled in the role, you will be mentored by a skilled senior teacher who will welcome you in. As a SEBD/SEMH Teaching Assistant you will have the opportunity to provide whole class support, where you will be expected to assist pupils with the lesson activities and help the teacher in any way that you can. Your SEBD/SEMH Teaching Assistant duties will include supporting the social, pastoral development of students who have a whole range of SEN requirements. Day-to-day, you will be inspiring pupils to achieve their goals as you encourage and motivate them towards exceeding their expectations. To allow pupils to get the most out of this learning environment, you will work with some on a 1:1 basis to help them progress through their academic work.
