ROLE: Sports Recruitment Consultant – Graduate Scheme

SALARY: £22k – £25k Basic, 40k OTE

LOCATION: Central London

THE COMPANY

After a record breaking year, they are looking to grow their business significantly. Founded in 2002, they are now recognised as one of the leading executive search and recruitment businesses dedicated to the global sports industry with offices in London, Singapore and Sydney.

Working closely with a variety of prestigious sports-related clients, such as Premiership football clubs, national & international governing bodies, global brands, broadcasters and operators, this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

My client focuses on placing candidates from middle management to Chief Executive but with a focus on retained and client paid advertising assignments.

THE ROLE

You will be employed as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant working within the sports industry. The Sport industry is less saturated than other recruitment markets such as IT and Finance, this means that there is more opportunity to deal with major clients from day one and progress as a rapid rate whilst making enormous commission.

My client is depending on money hungry, ambitious, hardworking, articulate graduates to help expand their business. They have a Graduate Training Scheme in place where you will receive both one on one and group based training over the first 3 months of your career to enable you to have the best start possible. You will be dealing with candidates and clients in the sporting world from day one – this is a very practical job and you need to be prepared to take on allot of responsibility quickly.

BENEFITS

The rewards on offer are amazing – Basic salaries start from £22,000 and with commission you should be looking to earn in excess of £40,000 in your first year. As well as the money there are shares available for all employee’s with increasing amounts as you progress through the company.

You will be sourcing the best talent across the sports sector to work for your clients that you personally go out and find. You really do have complete control over what you do in this job and the harder you work the more rewards you will get.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have a genuine passion for sport that goes beyond participation. The ideal candidate will have played competitive sport throughout their lives (any sport). As well as this strong academics is preferable as well as some relevant experience.
