Location: Beckton, London
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000, use of company car, private health care, pension and employee discounts
Reporting to the Safety & Security Manager, the Loss Prevention Supervisor will be responsible for the security, safety and welfare of the buildings inhabitants and visitors, and to protect the assets of the company by conducting pro-active checks on the vehicle loads/by way of tracking the vehicles and checking loads at customer’s premises, and by checking the loaded products on the vehicles correspond to the delivery notes.
Responsibilities:
The Safety & Security Officer will be required to show evidence and knowledge and understanding on the following attributes:
• Ensure compliance with Assignment Instructions
• Internal/External patrols of the premises to ensure health, safety & Security procedures are being followed.
• Conflict management / Conflict resolution, there will be a requirement to challenge staff members & visitors not complying with site rules
• Manage access to the premises both working and out of hour’s times.
• Checking vehicles loads and reporting any anomalies to the safety, security manager
• Enforce procedural rules and regulations. Ensure the personal safety of staff, visitors, and property.
• Maintain security and safety for assigned area. Maintain working knowledge of the locations.
• Maintain logs and records of occurrences, complete necessary paperwork, ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas
• Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to.
• Maintaining an accurate record of any incidents that occur
• In addition to these functions employees are required to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have a Full Clean UK Driving Licence
• Be able to demonstrate Loss Prevention and interview techniques (WZ)
• Be Health & Safety aware
• Excellent report writing abilities
• Be fluent in spoken and written English
• Have a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self- employment or full and part time education during that period
• Knowledge of working with CCTV systems and reviewing/recording footage
• Knowledge of intruder/fire alarm systems and how to react to incidents.
Desirable Requirements:
• Hold a health & safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH) or be able to work towards the qualification.
• Worked in a factory/processing environment
• First Aid at Work certificate

• Salary will be dependent on experience but will be between £25,000 – 30,000 annually
