Reporting & Analysis Project Lead




The Natural History Museum is one of the world’s leading museums, internationally recognised for its dual role as a centre of excellence in scientific research and as a leader in the presentation of natural history through exhibitions, public programmes, publications and the web.


The Museum is now looking to conduct a review of its Reporting and Analysis procedures. The purpose is to examine the current systems and management structures in order to identify issues of duplication, misalignment, delay and other barriers to quality and propose a new way of working for Reporting and Analysis within the Public Engagement Group.


The Reporting and Analysis Project Lead will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of the Reporting and Analysis project reporting to the Commercial Accountant and Analyst within Resources and Planning. This is a challenging role which will demand the appointed individual to deliver a thorough review of processes and procedures to a demanding timetable.


Core responsibilities will include mapping the end-to-end process for the Reporting and Analysis project, leading on the identification and interview of key stakeholders, analysis and documentation of existing products and methods of reporting, plotting issues/restraints and conflicts, specification of requirements, drafting of project update reports and the compilation of proposed changes to reporting methods, deliverables and structure in a project report.


Salary: £32,178 per annum plus benefits


Contract: 3 months fixed term contract (may be potential to extend)

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience of PRINCE2, Business Process Modelling Notation and knowledge of performance reporting. You will have ideally worked as a project lead within a scientific, cultural or educational organisation and have significant and demonstrable experience of running a project and identifying business requirements.


With a deep understanding of financial and performance reporting and analysis within a medium to large organisation you can deliver and / or support change management processes within a medium to large organization. You are highly proficient in the use of all Office programs.
