Senior Event Sales Manager for great new, funky event venue
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales & Events Executive to work alongside and support the Head of Sales & Events to sell the corporate, private and group bookings for this new venue.
Over 60% of the venue’s total sales are through events, meaning this role is a key one to the business.
You will be hugely confident and adept at converting the huge volume of inbound enquiries according to the sales & yield management strategies as well as managing client relationships to plan and deliver exceptional events.
The ideal candidate
– You will have experience in venue sales
– You will have both sales & event management experience in a busy environment
-You will have experience in managing a team
-You will have impeccable organisation skills to deal with the huge amount of inbound enquiries
-You must have great attention to detail to ensure that each event is delivered flawlessly
-You will have exceptional interpersonal skills with a lively and professional personality with the ability to communicate to all levels of customers
-You will be bright, presentable and articulate and looking for a great opportunity to grow with an exciting new leisure operator
-Experience with CRM systems
-You are ready to hit the ground running!
Job Role
-Work to pre-determined sales targets as set by the business, maximising all opportunities
-To support the Head of Sales & Events in managing the sales team of 4
-Ensure correct and effective selling of the event spaces for private group and corporate bookings in accordance with the sales & yield management strategies
-Maintain and develop the venue’s CRM system
-To respond quickly and effectively with each enquiry to ensure all requirements are detailed and requirements met and sales maximised in accordance with company KPI’s
-To organise, plan and manage show rounds of the venue to ensure conversion of enquiry to a confirmed booking
-To plan each event from initial enquiry through to event planning and final invoicing and follow up
-Manage existing client relationships to ensure repeat business is gained
-To assist with identifying key opportunities for the business
-Attend networking events and promoting the company at trade shows
-Organise and execute showcase events ensuring attendance of key customers such as Event Bookers and Corporate Clients
