Our client is a well known agency which produces a wide range of digital content, so the job is varied and everyday involves a new challenge. It’s not just about website/ CMS support and maintenance. The job is about opening up new channels and as the de facto lead developer, the candidate will have the chance to have a say in future platforms, UX and best practice.

Although the job is Full Stack it is about 70% back end and 30% front end, and ideally you will experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL as well as other RDBMS

Further learning and development of individual skills is not just encouraged – it is part of the job, and the successful candidate will be expected to highlight gaps in their knowledge and skill, and identify courses that can improve them.

The most important skill is to be comfortable in the SilverStripe environment and PHP development.. A working knowledge of Objective C, JavaScript and WordPress would be an advantage. Ideally you will have knowledge of Zend, Drupal, Expression Engine and Django might also be useful, as well as API building and maintenance.
