Job Description

We are offering a three month internship in our UK Programmes Department. Our office is based in Bounds Green, London, and the candidate’s main responsibilities will be to work with the UK Programme officer to oversee programme delivery. This is an important role within AKF and will suit a highly organised individual with a proven interest in poverty alleviation and community support within the UK.

The suitable candidate must be able to display initiative and responsibility with a keen willingness to learn and develop. Travel expenses will be covered.

Essential

• 
  

  Available 11am-5pm three days a week for at least three months

  
  


• 
  

  Background in bid-writing and/or research

  
  


• 
  

  Good organisational and administrative skills

  
  

Desirable

• Experience in non-profit work


• Experience in areas of ESOL, employability, domestic violence

Tasks to include:

  Desk research to locate fundraising opportunities

  Updating and maintaining fundraising database
