United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Grants Finance Officer (Maternity Cover, 1 year FTC)

Based within the central Planning, Performance and Reporting (PPR) team at Sightsavers, the Grant Finance Officers play a key role in monitoring Sightsavers projects funded by Institutional donors.

This role will play a key part in the delivery of Sightsavers’ strategic objectives of “Funding our work through the growth and diversification of income” and “Using resources strategically and efficiently”. This will be achieved through involvement in all aspects of the financial management and monitoring of institutional funding agreements, including proposal development, compliance with grant terms and conditions and monitoring of project expenditure.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good level of financial expertise, either through experience or qualification, and will have an understanding of the international development context in which Sightsavers operates. There is no requirement to have worked previously within the sector, although any prior experience of managing restricted funding would be valuable.

The ideal candidate will also be well organised, have strong attention to detail and possess excellent numerical skills.
