Associate for Developing Markets

We are currently working with a growing international telecommunications consultancy in Hammersmith who are recruiting for an Associate for Developing Markets.

They are looking to expand their client base in the Latin American and Asian market and in the future there may also be opportunities in other locations.

This position requires international travel, so you must be flexible and happy to travel as required.

Salary – £20k – £25k

This is an opportunity for broad growth in market access issues, licensing, business development and management development.

Duties
• Engaging with governments across African countries to gain information on current regulatory policy and practice.
– With different regulations in each country you must be switched on and have the common sense to ask the right questions dependant on the clients bid/request
• Obtaining information on the competitive landscape in national markets
• Interfacing with clients and new prospects – developing existing and new business whilst negotiating on price
• Writing reports on national, regional, and multilateral policy landscape.
• Researching and monitoring international market access requirements – you must have an analytical side to search through these requirements and regulations
– Update internal database on country regulations

You must have proven communication and analytical skills, being able to write clearly and quickly, and an ability to interface with senior government officials and ICT service providers from around the world.

Essential
• Client-facing skills and the ability to develop business activity.
• Genuine interest in the telecommunications and information technology industry.

Desirable

• Fluency in a second language
• Experience in the ICT industry – this isn’t essential, but when it comes to talking about the frequencies, it’ll prove beneficial for you to hit the ground running.
